KINDER KITCHENS ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
At Kinder Kitchens, we believe that creating a beautiful kitchen should include careful consideration of the materials we use and the waste we produce. Our approach focuses on responsible materials, thoughtful ordering and practical recycling throughout installation.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY 2026
EGGER cabinet boards
Our cabinets use EGGER melamine-faced chipboard. EGGER uses recycled wood and sawmill by-products in its chipboard production, giving existing wood resources another useful life.
EGGER supports responsible forestry and holds FSC® and PEFC chain-of-custody certifications, alongside ISO 38200 certification for the traceability of wood and wood-based materials. Its UK manufacturing sites hold ISO 14001 environmental management and ISO 50001 energy management certifications.
These systems support responsible sourcing, management of environmental impacts and continual improvements in energy efficiency.
Environmental standards across our supply chain
Our door supplier reports using FSC-certified timber materials and has published environmental commitments covering responsible sourcing, reduced energy and material consumption, recycling paint waste and improving packaging.
Our storage accessory manufacturer holds ISO 14001 environmental management, ISO 50001 energy management and ISO 9001 quality management certifications at relevant manufacturing sites. Its packaging improvements include replacing plastic fill with cardboard inserts, making better use of packaging space and using recyclable materials.
Our door supplier also reports FIRA Gold product certification and CATAS testing and approval for relevant products. These are quality credentials that complement its environmental commitments.
The certifications and approvals described here apply to the relevant suppliers, manufacturing sites and product ranges.
Reducing waste through careful ordering
We aim to prevent waste before it is created. We plan and optimise our orders to suit each kitchen, keeping unnecessary materials and surplus components to a minimum.
Careful ordering helps us make better use of resources while delivering the kitchen our customer needs.
Recycling during installation
We separate cardboard packaging from our installations and take it to a local recycling facility.
We also separate all clear plastic packaging and take it to the same facility for recycling. Keeping these materials separate helps them enter the appropriate recycling streams.
Our ongoing commitment
We will continue to look for practical ways to reduce waste, use materials efficiently and improve our environmental practices.
We will keep this policy under review so that it reflects how we work and the environmental information available from our suppliers.
